Pilates Instructors
Marla Rice’s whole life changed with Pilates. Her children were grown and on their way to paving lives of their own. Exercise and a healthy lifestyle had always been part of her life. She started to take Pilates in 2001 and quickly realized that this was going to be her future.
Marla received her certification from Physical Mind Institute and also holds a certification from Gyrtonic ™. She worked at the Body College in Potomac Maryland before she opened her own studio Core Essentials Studio in Bethesda, MD. Her love for helping people has allowed her to remain true to her philosophy of providing a personal approach to each of her clients.
Claudia Corwin began a career in Pilates in 1999. Starting with a certification from Physical Mind Institute, she was additionally trained in rehabilitation through Polestar Education. Claudia holds certifications in Gyrotonic(TM) and Healthways Silver Sneakers Program for seniors in conjunction with AARP.
Rachael Ferranti-Leffler is certified from Physical Mind Institute. Inspired by her strong desire for helping others and a calling to make a difference in people's lives, she has recently transitioned from a career in corporate sales to the field of health and wellness.
Vanessa Lopsonzski is a Physical Therapist, certified Pilates Instructor specializing in rehabilitation and fitness. She incorporates both classical and modern Pilates’ methods into her style of teaching enabling her to diversely instruct her patients and clients. Vanessa also is an Educator for Polestar Education a worldwide provider of rehabilitation-based Pilates curriculum.
Alexandra McCary is certified instructor through Physical Mind Institute, and has been practicing Pilates for twelve years. She believes Pilates is essential to a healthy lifestyle and loves sharing that enthusiasm with her clients.
Eileen Vogel is certified through Quantum Pilates and has been teaching for over 7 years. Eileen is also a certified Zumba instructor, Group Ex and member AFAA, PMA.

Heather Ruth is Nationally Certified and Licensed to practice Acupuncture in Maryland and Virginia. Heather received her Master's Degree in Oriental Medicine from the East West College of Natural Medicine in Sarasota, Florida and graduated magna cum laude in 2002.
A northern Virginia native, Heather began the practice of Reiki when she was just 15 years old, receiving her Level III Advanced Practitioner's Certificate in 1996. She began her studies in BodyTalk the following year. She has certified and advanced training in modules 1 through 9. In addition she has trained in other various energy bodywork techniques and brings to her practice a depth of knowledge and understanding of the workings of the human being from both traditional Eastern and Western allopathic perspectives.
Massage Therapist
Denise "Neise" McLean is a members of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) and the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork (NCBTMB) and is trained in various styles of massage - Swedish, Deep Tissue and Myofacial Release. Neise believes in tailoring the massage to the individual needs of each client by the use of various modalities and continue to update their techniques through educational seminars, workshops and other post graduate studies. The needs of their clients are
primary and they are experienced in working with these specific needs, such as headaches, carpal tunnel, tension, sports injuries, fibromyalgia and a host of others.
